As would be obvious, there was no need to wait long for someone to take the Polestar 2 , the young Scandinavian brand's first tram, even an autobahn to see how much it would cost.
Despite the 408 hp promising a lot, the top speed of the Polestar 2 is, as with practically all electric ones, limited. In this case, the limit reaches 210 km/h, and as you can see in the video on the Automann-TV channel, it reaches them quite easily and quietly.
The 100 km/h arrives in less than 5.0s and the 200 km/h in 18.3s — as the author of the video notes, the same as a Volkswagen Golf R. very high speeds.
If you're not familiar with the Polestar 2, it's a five-door saloon, with some crossover genes (did you notice the floor height?), perhaps the most direct rival of the Tesla Model 3 today. It rests on the CMA platform — the same as the Volvo XC40 —, it has an electric motor per axle (all-wheel drive), the battery has 78 kWh and advertises a range of 470 km (WLTP).
