McLaren P1 is back with 100% electric motor

The current McLaren P1 said goodbye to production lines at the end of last year, but the British brand has decided to resurrect its sports car in a very special version.

It is well known that in the future McLaren intends to launch a 100% electric model. But while 2022 doesn't arrive, the Woking brand was entertained by developing a sui generis model based on the current McLaren P1 and aimed at a younger market (a lot younger…), more specifically between three and six years old.

In addition to the usual scissor doors and the yellow “Volcano Yellow” of the bodywork, this small-scale McLaren P1 stands out not only for being the only P1 convertible but also for the steering wheel in a central position, just like another sports car from the brand you are certainly familiar with. – the McLaren F1. Oh, and of course the 100% electric motor. Thanks to him the McLaren P1 is able to reach its maximum speed (limited to 5 km/h) in just two seconds!

In terms of equipment, this McLaren P1 doesn't leave much to be desired compared to the “for adults” version: start & stop button and sound system with pre-programmed mp3 player with children's songs. McLaren's smallest model will be available from McLaren's dealers from the end of October, at a price of 375 pounds, around 430 euros.
