Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid. The next «King of the Nürburgring»?

Anonim

The German sedan was spotted on the Nürburgring Nordschleife route. Another episode of the rivalry “Germany vs. Italy".

It was at the beginning of last month that we were able to see the Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid live and in color, the most powerful panamera ever . And, as expected, it wasn't long before the German saloon made its debut on the Nürburgring.

For the first time in the Panamera range it is a hybrid plugin which takes the top place in the brand hierarchy.

The Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid, which is already available in some markets, was first seen in “Inferno Verde”. And of course, it didn't escape the photographers' lenses on the circuit:

Looking at the specs of the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid, it is expected that Porsche will want to regain the record for fastest saloon at the Nürburgring, lost to the new Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio.

Time to beat: 7 minutes and 32 seconds

This was the time achieved by Alfa Romeo test driver Fabio France in September of last year. And if the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio's technical sheet was already impressive – 510 hp and 600 Nm extracted from a 2.9 liter twin-turbo V6 engine – what about the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid…

NOT TO BE MISSED: Honda Civic Type R is the fastest front wheel drive on the Nürburgring

As the name implies, the German sports car marries an electric motor with a 4.0 liter twin turbo V8 block. The result is 680 hp of combined power , available at 6000 rpm and 850 Nm of torque between 1400 rpm and 5500 rpm, transmitted to the wheels via an eight-speed dual-clutch PDK gearbox.

The performances also leave no room for doubt: 3.4 seconds from 0-100 km/h , just 7.6 seconds up to 160 km/h, and 310 km/h top speed. What are you waiting for, Porsche?
