Audi SQ7 from ABT surpasses 500 hp Diesel power

Anonim

One of the best Diesel engines today (if not the best…) just got even better. Blame it on ABT who increased the power of the 4.0 TDI engine in the Audi SQ7.

We've already driven the Audi SQ7 firsthand – you can remember our first impressions here . A model guided by the technology and competence of the set, in particular the powerful 4.0 liter V8 engine with 435 hp and 900 Nm of maximum torque at 1,000 rpm – that's right, at 1,000 rpm!

An avalanche of power and torque capable of catapulting the SQ7's 2,330 kg weight to 100km/h in just 4.8 seconds. A time within the reach of few sports people today.

Naturally, ABT was not satisfied and gave the mechanics of the Audi SQ7 a touch. Power rose from 435 hp to an impressive 520 hp of power and 970 Nm of maximum torque. With these numbers, the acceleration from 0-100km/h should drop to 4.4 seconds and the top speed should touch 300km/h. We have SUV!

As for the design, contrary to what would be expected, ABT did not carry out significant changes. The suspension has been lowered, the wheels have seen their diameter increase and there are a few more small distinguishing details. But if we know ABT well, it won't be long before a more aggressive aesthetic kit arrives.
