BMW M5 CS and Porsche 911 Turbo. What do these two models have in common? Very little, apart from the fact that they were two of the most impressive cars that passed by the “garage” and by Razão Automóvel's YouTube channel, even though “our” 911 Turbo was the “S” version.

Each in its own way, these two models left us in “sense” and reminded us of the reasons why we fell in love with cars. Unfortunately we were never able to put them face to face… or side by side, but our fellow Throttle House channel partners did it for us, in the form of a drag race of course!

On the one hand, the M5 CS, the most powerful production BMW ever, powered by a 4.4 l twin-turbo V8 that produces 635 hp and 750 Nm. 3.0s is enough to reach 100 km/h and 10.4s to 200 km/h. The maximum speed? 305 km/h… limited!

On the other is the Porsche 911 Turbo, powered by a six-cylinder boxer that produces 580 hp and 750 Nm, numbers that allow it to go from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8s, from 0 to 200 km/h in 9, 7s and reach a maximum speed of 320 km/h.

On paper, the Porsche has an edge, but is it all that simple? Here's the video:
