Like itself, the revamped Ford EcoSport is different… for the better. The exterior design gained more robust lines and at the same time saw its practical character reinforced.

The increased ground clearance and new aesthetic solutions have evolved to improve the capabilities of the Ford SUV in every way. The cargo floor has three height options that allow you to create a hidden compartment with different sizes. When placed in the highest position, and with the rear seats folded down, the load floor is completely flat, making it easier to transport larger objects. The luggage compartment thus goes from 356 liters to 1238 liters.

Style and combinations

With a more modern and more attractive style, the Ford EcoSport is now available with a bi-tone paint option (only for the ST Line version), which gives it about 14 different possible combinations. The roof is available in black, red, gray and orange.

For the first time it is possible to equip the Titanium and ST Line versions with 17-inch and 18-inch wheels, exclusive to each version.

Furthermore, in the ST Line version the Ford EcoSport gets a sportier styling. Thanks to a body kit that gives it a more dynamic look.

The new SYNC3 system is one of the highlights of the Ford EcoSport. In addition to being 100% compatible with all smartphones on the market and allowing control of all car parameters, this system is also used to ensure the safety of occupants.

When an accident occurs, the Ford SYNC3 system automatically uses the connected and paired Bluetooth® mobile phone to contact Emergency Services. The system also provides additional information such as GPS coordinates to identify the vehicle's location.

Prepared for the cold

Also available are numerous comfort systems for the most adverse weather conditions, such as the seats and heated steering wheel. The seats allow three different heating settings.

THE Quickclear system allows demisting the windshield using ultra thin filaments that heat up quickly, also contributing to defrosting.

The rear view mirrors, in addition to retracting automatically when parked, are also heated allowing you to go out faster on cold mornings and with better visibility.

State-of-the-art engines

In addition to the recognized and multi-awarded 1.0 EcoBoost engine, available with two power levels (125 and 140 hp), Ford EcoSport debuts a new diesel engine called EcoBlue. It is a 1.5 liter four-cylinder block with 125 hp of power. This engine aims to stand out for its availability in all regimes and fuel consumption: Ford announces 4.6 l/100 km with CO2 emissions of 119 g/km.

The EcoBoost engine represents the EcoSport's gasoline engine offering, with two power levels.

Associated with this Diesel version is a new all-wheel-drive system (AWD) – rare in the segment – and which, in addition to allowing off-road incursions, above all allows for greater safety in adverse weather conditions. The system can determine the level of grip, balance in corners and the response needed in wet, dry, ice, dirt and mud conditions. This technology sends traction to the front or rear axle as needed, providing better handling and greater efficiency for the whole set.

In addition to these, the offer of the 1.5 TDCi diesel engine with 100 hp and 6-speed manual transmission is maintained.
