Porsche 911 Speedster will be produced but... not everyone will be able to own one.

After showing a prototype of the 911 Speedster the German brand took a new prototype of the same model to Paris. This time painted red and with 21″ wheels, the prototype shown in the city hall of light served to arouse even more interest in the public and confirm what was already suspected: the model will even go into production.

But calm down, it's not all rosy, as Porsche has announced that production of the future 911 Speedster will be limited to 1948 units. But why did the Stuttgart brand choose this number, you ask? Well, it wasn't by chance, with the 1948-unit brand being a reference to the year of its foundation and also a tribute to the first Porsche model, the 356 whose first prototype was also a Speedster.

The 911 Speedster will be the first model of the brand to offer the Heritage Design pack created by Porsche to satisfy customers who want greater options for customizing their models.

New color but the base is the same

Despite the new color, different wheels and some specific interior finishes, the prototype unveiled in Paris shares everything else with the 911 Speedster Concept presented by the brand's 70th anniversary celebrations.
