Unlike what happened with the 3 Series GT, the BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo continues to be part of the BMW offer and has now even been the target of a mid-life restyling at a time when it accumulates more than 50,000 units sold worldwide.

Scheduled for arrival on the market in July 2020 , the model produced at the BMW plant in Dingolfing received more than a mere “face wash”.

Therefore, in the next lines we present you all the news that the renewed BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo brings with it.

And inside?

If on the outside the changes were discreet, inside the BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo they are even more difficult to find.

As of now all engines of the Series 6 Gran Turismo are mild-hybrid.

In total, the German model will be available with five engines — two petrol and three Diesel.

All of them are associated with a 48 V mild-hybrid system capable of providing, momentarily, an additional 8 kW (11 hp) and an automatic eight-speed Steptronic transmission.

The gasoline offer is based on 630i Gran Turismo which has a four-cylinder and in the 640i Gran Turismo which can rely on the xDrive all-wheel drive system and resorts to an in-line six-cylinder.

Among Diesels, the offer starts at 620d Gran Turismo (animated by a tetra-cylinder), then passes to the 630d Gran Turismo (or 630d xDrive if you have all-wheel drive) which uses a six-cylinder and culminates in the 640d xDrive Gran Turismo , which, as the name implies, is only available with all-wheel drive and also has a six-cylinder.
