Tesla Roadster? Forget it, here comes Miss R and it's much more potent

Anonim

After the North American Tesla promised the world's fastest electric, with its new Roadster, the answer came from China and an unknown start-up, dedicated to electric propulsion systems, XING Mobility.

This electric vehicle project has the skills to face both asphalt and off-road, but mainly with a declared power of one megawatt. In other words, 1 341 hp, the same as a Koenigsegg Agera RS, although without a combustion engine.

Miss R

Named — affectionately, certainly … — “Miss R”, the prototype now presented, is based on four electric motors. Which, in addition to ensuring permanent all-wheel drive, are also synonymous with truly frightening performance – starting with the 1.8 seconds it takes when accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h, not to mention the 5.1 seconds it takes from 0 to 200 km/h. With the announced top speed appearing at 270 km/h, a value, even so, below the 402 km/h promised by the Tesla Roadster.

Miss R without autonomy but with battery change

Curious is also the fact that XIN Mobility does not announce any value, in terms of autonomy, for this super electric car. While noting that the model will be prepared to be able to accommodate a battery exchange system; something that, guarantees the manufacturer, can be done in less than five minutes.

For the rest, and still with regard to batteries, it is important to highlight the fact that the Chinese company has chosen to develop its own modular system for accommodating loads. Which passes through stackable modules, each one bringing together a total of 42 lithium-ion cells, making a total of 4,116 cells.

A solution that, according to XING Mobility, has already sparked the interest of several companies interested in acquiring a system that can be applied in different vehicles, from trucks to boats.

Production version in 2019 and by

However, despite this interest, XING Mobility has already revealed that this “Miss R” is not expected to give rise to a true and complete prototype before the end of 2018. A true production version is only planned for the beginning. of 2019.

Those responsible for the start-up based in Taipei assume that they do not intend to build more than 20 units. Even having already stipulated the price of each car: one million dollars, in other words, around 852,000 euros.
