There are those who have the opportunity to acquire one of the most coveted automotive machines today, this time it is the Ferrari 458 Speciale, a lighter and more powerful version of the 458 Italy model, which is seeing its first year of production sold out.

There are many factors that contribute to the huge success of the Ferrari 458 Speciale. Unveiled to the public at the last edition of the Frankfurt Motor Show, the Ferrari 458 Speciale was released as a version “infected” by the disease of the tracks, reminding some of the old 430 Scuderia and 360 Challenge Stradale. And like its forebears, the Ferrari 458 Speciale was not lacking in anything, from the “typical” total weight reduction to the beautiful “war paintings” on the outside.

The Ferrari 458 Speciale uses a modified version of the 4.5 V8 engine of the model that serves as its base, being able to deliver 605 hp at 9000 rpm and 540 hp at 6000 rpm, a still considerable difference compared to the 570 hp of the 458 Italy. The Ferrari 458 Speciale is still able to complete the usual sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3 seconds. According to the Italian manufacturer, the Ferrari 458 Speciale manages to complete the Fiorano Circuit in 1:23:5 seconds, 1.5 seconds faster than the 458 Italia and just 5 seconds slower than the F12 Berlinetta (V12 6.3 of 740 hp) .

As important as the engine, lightness is clearly one of the factors that most contributes to the Ferrari 458 Speciale's success on the track. With a total weight of 1290 kg, it is 90 kg lighter than its base model. From the removal of some aerodynamic elements to the use of lighter materials, both on the outside and inside, everything contributed to the reduction of the final weight of the Ferrari 458 Speciale.
