Porsche Cayenne receives Turbo S version with 550hp

The more vitamin-rich version of the Porsche Cayenne is on its way… And the numbers are surprising – the sprint from 0-100 km/h is done in 4.5 seconds and the powerful V8 engine with 550hp puts the maximum speed of this SUV above 280 km/h. A true beast on asphalt with the ability to “climb walls” off road.

Like its predecessor, this promises to be one of the best SUVs money can buy. The price to pay for this exclusivity is very close to 200 thousand euros (197,898 euros, if we apply the current taxes), on the other hand, the consumptions announced are even “spare” given the colossal size of the Cayenne and the monstrosity of its engine – 11.5 l/100km – with torque that reaches a staggering 750 Nm… 750!

The behavior and efficiency are the watchwords of this model, as such, it had to come equipped with the best that the German brand has to mount on the Cayenne. It's all there: from the air suspension that allows active control of the shock absorbers, to the Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCD) – state-of-the-art technology that reduces body roll over even the most demanding hooks.

A car like this really needs all this technology to help its handling, as its weight and dimensions will naturally be a negative factor to mitigate. In addition to all this, an auto-locking differential working side by side with the PTV Plus system (Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus), promises to intervene whenever necessary and make the Cayenne as agile as possible.

The changes to the Cayenne's “face” are clearly visible – 21″ wheels exclusive to this version and a more aggressive expression are the most striking aesthetic features of this Turbo S.

Porsche intends to conquer the super SUV market with this vibrant version of the famous Cayenne. One thing is right: Never again will the phrase “Dad, I'm late for school…” will be the same for the lucky one who drives this dream machine.
