After the i30 N, it was the turn of the younger brother, the Hyundai i20 N, to be available in the Portuguese market.
After the success of the i30 N, Hyundai decided to apply the same recipe to the i20, which gained a spicier version to go after rivals like the Ford Fiesta ST.
With a muscular image and with several elements inspired by the Hyundai i20 that runs in the WRC, this model presents itself with strong aesthetic attributes and an interior full of sporty elements.
Examples of this are the seats with an integrated headrest and a huge side support, the specific steering wheel and gearbox handle and even the digital instrument panel, which in this version sees the red zones of the tachometer vary according to the temperature of the engine.

Under the hood of the Hyundai i20 N we find a 1.6 l four-cylinder turbocharger that delivers 204 hp and 275 Nm and can only be paired with a six-speed manual gearbox — with an automatic heel tip — that lets us go from 0 to 100 km /h in 6.7s and reach a maximum speed of 230 km/h.
With the torque being sent exclusively to the two front wheels, Hyundai has equipped the sportiest of the i20 with a Launch Control and offers, as an option, a mechanical locking differential (the N Corner Carving Differential).
In addition to all this, this “pocket rocket” also saw the chassis being reinforced at 12 different points and came to feature new shock absorbers, new springs and new stabilizer bars, as well as larger brake discs.
And the prices?
Now available at Hyundai dealers in Portugal, the i20 N starts at 29 990 euros, and this is the price with a financing campaign.If they do not opt for financing from Hyundai, the price starts to “start” at 32 005 euros.
