There are days that are worth it. For one day, I had the new Alpine A110S and the Estoril Circuit practically on my own. Objective? Confirm the effectiveness of all the new features that the Dieppe brand operated on the Alpine A110S.
On the outside, very little has changed. But when we jump behind the wheel — and what a desire I had to do it … — that's when everything changes.

Radical but calm...
With spring stiffness increased by 50%, stabilizer bars by 100% and wider tires on both axles, you'd expect the Alpine A110S to become less civilized.
It's true, it was. But not in the proportion that the numbers made one guess.
The Alpine A110S, like its siblings, remains a car that is easy to live with on a daily basis. You can see that he is firmer, more focused, but still civilized.
As for the engine, the 40 hp increase in normal driving is not felt. Incidentally, the acceleration from 0-100 km/h only got faster by 0.1s.

On a track without any calm...
If the differences aren't that big on the road, the modifications made to this Alpine A110S on the track make it felt.
The direction became even more immediate and the general behavior won in all aspects.
As for the power gain (+40 hp), it is on the track that the increase is effectively felt. When leaving the corners we start to crush the accelerator with affection (other times the affection is not so much…) the 1.8 Turbo engine pushes us with more determination. And this is also where the electronic limited-slip differential does its work.
As for the price, already available in Portugal, the new Alpine A110S costs 76 300 euros . That's about 9000 euros more than the base version of the model.
