After about three months ago Ford introduced us to the hot hatch Focus ST , the North American brand extends the sportier version of the Focus to the van, or Station Wagon (SW), as was the case in the previous generation.
Available from the summer, there will be no difference in the power supply, which will be the same two units that we find under the hood of the Focus ST five-door.
Thus, the sportier version of the Focus SW can rely on a petrol engine, the 2.3 EcoBoost with 280 hp combined with a six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic gearbox, as with a diesel engine, the 2.0 EcoBlue 190 hp and six-speed manual gearbox.
New bodywork, same technology
As with the five-door variant, the ST version of the Focus SW also received an electronic limited-slip differential. Added to this are new driving modes that allow you to adjust various parameters such as the behavior of the eLSD, steering, accelerator, ESP and even the electronic loudness boost or the climate control system.

Although Ford does not confirm this, the most likely is that the ST version of the Focus SW will also have adaptive suspension (like the five-door), improved brakes and even CCD (Continuously Controlled Damping) technology that monitors every two. milliseconds the suspension, bodywork, steering and brake actuation, adjusting the damping to balance comfort and efficiency.
For now, no performance data have yet been released, but the van is around 30 kg heavier than the hatchback variant, so this should be reflected in its performance.
The prices of the ST version of the Focus SW are not yet known.
